Cornish Blue Fluorite

This vibrant form of fluorite must be one of the trophies of treasure unearthed from yesteryear's waste pile. Whilst our eye is drawn to the vivid blue, the stone comprises light yellow and blue cubes. It is Cornwall's version of Blue John - a name for Derbyshire fluorite which derives from the French 'Bleu Jaune' (blue yellow). We are exceptionally fortunate to have been able to obtain pieces of this rare stone from a local collector. The tension relieving and protective qualities of fluorite are activated in the third eye and throat chakra with this crystal, giving release from headache, throat constriction and easing freedom of expression whilst providing a protective shield. Or, just enjoy it for purely aesthetic reasons! Many people see it as reflecting the Cornish coastline, where the sun meets the sea.
