Smithsonite

Smithsonite is most commonly known for its botryoidal, purpley-pink blobs, but it also forms in all the rainbow colours, and as more structured crystal shapes.  It is a zinc carbonate that was named after the James Smithson who founded the Smithsonian Institute of Washington.

Key Healing Properties:  Smithsonite is a stone of emotional stress relief, having a nurturing energy that quells anger or resentment.  It is used in treatment of skin disorders and to improve the immune system.
